Cheryl Kramarczyk:
A Bold New Voice in Christian Fiction
“I did everything I could to resist writing.” That’s how Cheryl Kramarczyk describes her path to publishing—one marked not by ambition, but surrender. With a degree in biology and a career in hospital labs, writing fiction seemed far from “godly.” But deep down, stories were stirring.
It took years of hardship, spiritual wrestling, and one very honest, very raw story (that never saw the light of day) before Cheryl finally said yes to the call she had been resisting for so long:
“From now on, you write for Me.”
Now, Cheryl writes emotionally grounded Christian fiction that speaks to the storms we never wanted—and the Savior who walks through them with us.
About Cheryl
Raised in the suburbs of Chicago, Cheryl met her husband at church in the city—only to later discover they were born in the same hospital and baptized at the same church. “God wanted us together,” she says. This year marks 19 years of marriage, two sons (now 10 and 13), and nine years of homeschooling life.
She’s a people-watcher, an idea collector, and a soul who sees stories in everyday moments—like her teenage son walking through the waves of Lake Michigan, sunglasses on, refusing to swim, but smiling quietly at the horizon.
About Esther’s Faith – Cheryl’s Debut Novel
Three summers ago, Cheryl was ready to quit writing for good. “I was tired of being the oddball at family gatherings,” she admits. But a church sermon on Esther changed everything.
“Esther didn’t want to be a hero. But she said yes when the time came.”
In Esther’s Faith, Cheryl brings that ancient courage into a modern-day world—complete with a reluctant heroine, a bold cousin (hello, Max!), and a God whose plans are often inconvenient, but always sovereign.
It’s a story about storms. About obedience without guarantees. And about the kind of faith that says, “Even if I perish, I’ll go.”

Her Favorite Character? Max, Without a Doubt
Max is the Mordecai of this retelling—Esther’s cousin, caretaker, and fierce defender of the faith.
“He takes care of his siblings and his cousin with fiery devotion… and when push comes to shove, Max doesn’t hesitate to defend Christianity, even at serious risk to himself.”
✝️ A Verse that Anchors Her Soul (and Her Story)
Matthew 14:27 — “Take courage. It is I. Don’t be afraid.”
This moment, when Jesus walks on water toward the disciples in the middle of the second storm, isn’t just a backdrop for Esther’s Faith. It’s Cheryl’s personal testimony.
“Only Jesus, the great I Am and our personal Savior, can give such an order and expect it to be obeyed.”
What She Hopes Readers Take Away
“I hope whoever reads Esther’s Faith walks away with the courage to trust God—even when the boat is sinking, even when the income disappears. Because God is the Author. And He’s still writing.”
What Fills Her Cup
While Cheryl loves reading and family movie nights, her real inspiration comes from watching life unfold.
Whether it’s little league baseball, a neighbor’s trash pickup, or the shifting light on leaves at the end of summer, she sees stories in every ordinary moment.
“Interesting scenarios come from seeing them occur—and then wondering, ‘what if?’”
It’s that quiet wonder—combined with honest faith—that fuels her writing and her walk with the Lord.
